Curriculum
The IMPRS offers a comprehensive training with the aim of obtaining a PhD degree. The necessary research is conducted by the student primarily with a research group under the guidance of the supervisor within a research group based at one of the IMPRS locations.
The IMPRS curriculum comprises a joint lecture week in the first year for all incoming students aimed at providing the breadth in our field of research. Since the later research is specialized, there are different requirements for students based on their exact research topic.
The offer includes further lecture weeks, specialized lecture courses at the AEI or partner institutions and transferable skill seminars (such as presentation skills, scientific writing etc.) that round off the training of IMPRS students.
Information about current and past courses and activities of the IMPRS is collected [on a dedicated web page.]
